2026, so far
Two months into 2026. A quick check-in.
The plan for 2026 was straightforward. Finish the app factory, focus on one app, get it on the store, make it generate revenue. That was it.
Two months in, I haven't done any of that.
Instead I've been dealing with coding tests, interview assignments, actual interviews, resume writing — the whole job search cycle. On top of that, other work commitments came up that ended up taking way more time than expected. I kept trying to fit Nante Studio in between everything else, but there's only so many hours.
I wanted to see if I could handle all of it at once. Turns out I can't. Splitting focus across too many things doesn't just slow you down — it drains your energy, your confidence, and eventually the fun out of everything. I've been running on empty for a while now.
One thing I've figured out clearly though: I really don't enjoy working on other people's stuff. I can stay up until 3AM working on my own projects and feel fine. But even a couple hours of work that isn't mine feels exhausting in a completely different way. That's not going to change.
The current obligations should wrap up around March. After that, I'm coming back to Nante Studio full time. One product at a time. The goal is modest — $10 a day. Whether that's through something like appsintoss or running paid ads with AdMob like Programming Zombie does, I don't really care about the method. I just want to build something small that actually makes money.
That's where I'm at.
